Key Points

Successful Outcomes...

We believe that you should be cared for in the same way that we would care for our families.  We want you to be assured that we want your contact with our office to be memorable in kindness, dignity and professionalism.

Moving forward in care...

Everything changes including healthcare.  Patients are treated in different ways than they were just a few years ago.  We strive to maintain above the standard education levels.  That is why Board Certification is so very important.  We also move forward in technology so that we can stay with and maybe be just a little ahead of the times.  We have been using digital x-rays since 2008 and digital electronic medical records since 2002.

Living in your town ...

We choose to live in Clarksville and make it our home.  Living here gives us the ability to be available for you in a timely fashion.  We do not hand off your care to a non-specialist after having left town.  If you need us we are here.

About our clinic...

The  practice of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was originally started by in Clarksville in 1975 by Dr. Ted McCurdy.  He opened his first office on Riverside Drive located in the same building with Dr. David Morton, general dentist who is now retired.   Later he then moved the practice to a new location on Haynes Street near the Clarksville Memorial Hospital.  Dr. McCurdy practiced as the lone OMS in Clarksville for many years taking care of a wide range of trauma, infections and oral surgical problems.

Dr. Phillip Elledge joined the practice in 1994 after Dr. Elledge retired from the U.S. Army.  The practice name was called the Oral Surgery Center until Dr. Elledge left the practice in 1998 to practice in Paris, Tennessee.

Dr. Terry Ellis decided to leave the Army in 1998 and open his practice at our current location on 1718 Memorial Drive, formerly Hilldale Drugs owned by the late Pat Cain.   Drs. McCurdy & Ellis renovated the 1718 Memorial Drive office turning it into a state of the art facility.  In 2002 the practice opened a temporary location on Ft. Campbell Boulevard and in November 2003  moved to a new second location at 1275 Parkway Place.

In April 2009 Dr. Ellis purchased the practice from Dr. McCurdy after a full 11 years in successful partnership.  Dr. McCurdy retired in April 2012.  Then the new practice name is Clarksville Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, PLLC operated as Ellis Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Implants.

Dr. Jason S. Lilly joined the practice in July of 2014 after graduating from the Metrohealth Medical Center - Case Western Reserve Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency in Cleveland.   He is a welcomed addition to our staff.  We will now operate as  Ellis & Lilly Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Implants.
